  • e. Easy to launch with very little technical development
  • f. Media coverage almost guaranteed

Not bad, as startup ideas go... So, what is it?

I got that idea after the SOPA protests (remember the Stop Online Piracy Act of 2012). The online world got mad: Reddit, Wikipedia and Google went dark to protest. It was truly a massive protest. Online. When time came to show up at the San Francisco City Hall, Robert Scoble was there, with about 50 other activists. Out of millions. Where was everybody else?

This startup will let you rent a demonstrator. Let's face it: we don't have time anymore to go to protests. But we have strong opinions. Think gun control, NSA surveillance... We can't all fly to Washington to protest on the Mall, but for only $10, you can have someone who represents you. Your own personal avatar of sorts. Signage with custom messages cost extra by the way.

There is one reason I didn't pursue that idea yet: it's extremely controversial. So let me know, good thing o bad thing?

Some fun twists on that idea: the democrat version of the site only lets each user rent one demonstrator, however the republican version lets one person hire as many busloads of demonstrators as they can afford.
